Farmhouse tourism
The idea of farmhouse tourism began in 1965, at the height of large-scale urbanization and industrialization, as an attempt to save a declining agricultural world. Over time the formula has improved and specialised, from both an agricultural and tourist point of view.
Growing attention to the cultivation and rearing of native or threatened species, the use of production techniques with low environmental impact, “Bio” (organic) certification and integrated plant management – these have all turned the producers concerned into genuine defenders of their territory. At the same time, tourists and travellers are offered an ever-widening, more refined range of leisure activities, from excursions to practical farm experience.
DegustiBo aims to publicise farmhouses which, respecting our specifications, are able to combine values rooted in the territory with a warm welcome.
